SC Villa and KCC FC hope to put aside memories of their aborted meeting on Friday when they return to action against light-weight opposition today.

As Villa host Kampala United and KCC face Kinyara, the clubs’ respective fans will keep the other ear at Mengo where the FUFA competitions committee will come out with a judgment on their abandoned match.

“Whatever happened then, should not affect us in anyway today. We are looking forward to an exciting game of football and three vital points,” KCC coach Jackson Mayanja said.

His counterpart Ibrahim Kirya said: “If we had defended our two goals well, what happened would not have come up. We became complacent and it’s something we will try to avoid today.”

League defending champions Police should recover from their painful home defeat to Express when they take on unfancied Super Cubs.

A win could send them second on the table.

Police need three points to keep in touch with Express.
