BISHOP McLister SS Kyogera made history yesterday by knocking defending champion Kibuli out of the Coca-Cola national post primary schools’ football championship.
McLister’s stunning 1-0 semi-final victory gave the Bushenyi district champions their first final appearance. They take on St. Mary’s SS Kitende in the final tomorrow.
Ali Muhammed Salim stunned eight-time champions Kibuli, when he found the net with a clinical strike from outside the 18 yard box in the 29th minute.
Not so lucky were surprise package Mvara, who were knocked out in the penalty shoot out, after holding star-studded St.Mary’s Kitende, who boast of several Super League players, to a 1-1 draw.
Eddy Mubiru had put Kitende on the score-sheet early before an own goal by Joseph Ariko pushed the match to a penalty shoot out.
