POLICE FC needed maximum points to ease the pressure of qualifying for the quarterfinals, and they did not look back with strikes in the first and 87th minute against Sudanese outfit Al Hilal.

Peter Ssenyonjo struck first before Abraham Nega sealed victory for the Ugandan champions.

Munir Algadir gave the Sudanese a 90th minute consolation.

Action shifts to Morogoro today with defending champions SC Villa hosting Somalia side Elman.

Victory today over the group’s top placed team will secure Villa a place in the last eight.
