<b>Akaki given</b><br>APAC — President Yoweri Museveni has donated a grinding mill to the late former president Milton Obote’s elder brother, Obadiah Akaki.

APAC — President Yoweri Museveni has donated a grinding mill to the late former president Milton Obote’s elder brother, Obadiah Akaki. Akaki recently said Museveni delivered the machine to him, fulfilling his pledge when he visited the family in Akokoro in 2001. “The mill will be a major source of income to the family as it grinds maize, millet, cassava and sorghum,” he said.

RDC invites
PADER — Acting RDC Christopher Omara recently asked IDP camps leaders and local councils to help crack down on briefcase NGOs operating in the district. Omara said, “Several individuals and organisations are using internally displaced persons to make money.” He said he had asked the national NGO board for a list of NGOs registered to work in the district.

Yumbe gets
YUMBE — The agriculture ministry has donated a double-cabin pick-up truck and a power generator worth sh60m to the district. Permanent Secretary David Gabindadde Musoke handed over the items to the chief administrative officer, Moses Dalih, in Entebbe on Thursday.
