THE Forum for democratic Change (FDC) has vowed to expose corrupt ministers if President Yoweri Museveni reappoints them.
FDC Spokesperson Wafula Oguttu yesterday said any minister implicated in any IGG report, commissions of inquiry, the human rights and UN report on Congo, in relation to corruption, would be exposed. Wafula was addressing the weekly press briefing at the FDC Villas at Najjanakumbi.

Poll petition

PRIVATE Allan Barigye, who swore an affidavit in support of Dr. Kizza Besigye’s election petition alleging ballot paper stuffing, will not be charged in the Court Martial but will face disciplinary action.
Army spokesperson Maj. Felix Kulayigye yesterday said the desertion offence Barigye faces is not a capital offence that warrants trial in a Court Martial. “Barigye is a small man but I don’t know why the media wants to give him much publicity?” he said.

State ordered

Court has ordered the Government to speed up investigations in a case against five suspected ADF rebels. Buganda Road Court Magistrate Stella Amabilis said the suspects needed to be tried, after a long stay on remand. The suspects had said they had clocked a year on remand without the Government producing evidence against them.

THE Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) has re-elected Ahmed Musaazi Kateregga, president for the second term.
Kateregga, who was elected unopposed, on Saturday at UJA’s offices at UTODA House in old Kampala, has served since 2004.
