KABERAMAIDO — Five inmates housed in the dilapidated local government prison escaped on Sunday at about 1:00am. The OC/CID Mid-Eastern, Philips Adonga, said the inmates broke the jail’s ventilators, climbed the wall and escaped. He said their charges ranged from burglary, assault, theft and unlawful possession of firearms.

Chiefs idle
KUMI — The suspension of graduated tax has rendered parish chiefs redundant, chief administrative officer Rose Ochom said recently. She said the parish chiefs lost their major role of enforcing the payment of graduated tax.
