KUMI — High population growth, poverty, bad cultural practices and HIV/AIDS have hampered the fight against child sexual abuse, a report has said. The report, launched by the district probation and social welfare officer, Alex Okirigi recently, shows that children from poor households sometimes engage in sex trade to survive.

KAMULI — NRM supporters in Bugabula South have expressed dissatisfaction over failure by President Yoweri Museveni to appoint their MP, Asuman Kiyingi, a minister. Museveni reportedly promised to reward them with a cabinet post if they rejected FDC’s Salaamu Musumba in favour of Kiyingi.
