President Yoweri Museveni said Col. Kizza Besigye did not deserve to get support from Rukungiri and rebuked those who supported the opposition in the district in the presidential elections.

Museveni vowed to woo back to the NRM, those who had defected to the opposition. He was yesterday meeting Rukungiri leaders, elders, religious leaders and NRM supporters at hotel Riverside. Besigye got 35% while Museveni got 65% of the votes the district where Besigye comes from.

“I want us to bring back the 35%.

So what if Besigye comes from here? He left the Movement. Greed took him away,” Museveni said.

“Besigye was born here and when he wanders, you wander with him.

The 35% who went with him are wanderers. I will come and fish one by one now that I have time. Support Besigye for what?” Museveni asked.
