ELEVEN seminarians were ordained deacons while five deacons were ordained priests on Saturday by Bishop Joseph Anthony Zziwa of Kiyinda Mityana Catholic Diocese at Kiyinda Cathedral.
Five seminarians were dismissed two weeks before the ordination.
Zziwa appealed to Christians to help their children develop their vocations. “Families must love their children and help them develop vocations. Christians should help the priests in their work,†he said.
He appealed to the young priests and deacons to live by the vows they made.
This has been the biggest number for both priests and deacons to be ordained in a year in the 25-year-old diocese.
