TOP works ministry officials are on Monday expected to review the Zzimwe Construction Company contracts for the rehabilitation of the Kibuye-Busega and Nakulabye-Nansana roads worth over sh5b, sources said yesterday,
reports Mikaili Sseppuya.

Angry residents recently held demonstrations over dust and the slow pace of road works.

However, Zzimwe has insisted that the delays were caused by changes in the road design.

“I expect some decision will be reached on the way forward. The outcry over the roads has reached alarming levels. Zzimwe may have overstretched himself and could have under quoted the contract,” said a source.
