The Police on Thursday arrested and detained five men for illegally transporting cattle without livestock movement permits. District Police chief Joel Aguma said they also impounded a Dyna truck for transporting the animals without clear documents. The animals from Kagango market in Kabwohe-Itendero town council were being taken to Ishaka trading centre.

AG appeals
KAMPALA
The Attorney General (AG) wants the Constitutional Court to reject John Ken Lukyamuzi’s petition in which he is alleging wrongful sacking from Parliament. The AG, in a reply filed in court on Wednesday, denied the former Lubaga South MP’s allegations, saying they were false, frivolous and vexatious and did not deserve any remedies. Lukyamuzi wants court to declare his sacking unconstitutional, null and void.
