Tonight, fans of actress Lady Aisha Kyomuhangi will throng Grand Imperial Hotel to see her revealing her other side — Lady Aisha the singer.
The popular actress with the Bakayimbira Dramactors will launch her debut album titled Onsiibya mu Ssanyu.
Of late, Lady Aisha has grabbed our attention with her chart buster that has been enjoying power play on FM radios.

To pull off the contemporary Afro-beat six-track album, the 25-year-old artiste worked with producers Joe Tabula, Silver Kyagulanyi, Innocent Kayizzi and Stephen Zziwa. Tracks on the album include the sensational and most popular title track Onsiibya Mu Ssanyu. Others are Yanguwa Ojje, Best Friend, Side Mirror, Samanya and Mbitusiza, which are all love songs.

Aisha is very explosive on stage. Whenever she sings, she praises her mentor, Mariam Ndagire, to whom she owes her musical skills whom she also intends to emulate.

During Devoh’s album launch at Club Obliggato recently, Lady Aisha stole the show with her explosive performance. This prompted Mbidde Mukasa, the former parliamentary aspirant for Makindye West, to pay her sh200,000 to perform Onsiibya Mu Sanyu again.

“Aisha is not yet Mariam Ndagire or Julianna Kanyomozi. But as a solo artiste, she has already cut herself a niche as a musician to reckon with and continues to win recognition,” says Aloysius Matovu Jr, a presenter on Radio Sapientia.

Renowned artistes lined up to curtain raise for Lady Aisha include Mesach Ssemakula, Irene Namubiru, Haruna Mubiru, Joanita Kawalya, Harriet Kisakye and Silver Kyagulanyi. The launch has been sponsored by Coca-Cola, Radio Sapientia, WBS TV and Select Garments.
