IGANGA - Numerous sham schools with sub-standard syllabi have been set up and are registering students, usually with disastrous consequences, the chief administrative officer has said. Nelson Kirenda said the schools were hurriedly constructed by people pretending to be educationists yet their goal was money.

Water grant

BUKWO - The Arab Bank for Economic Development is to construct a gravity flow scheme to provide safe water to about 8,000 people in Suam trading centre. The district water officer, Salim Bera, recently said the bank would fund the project.
