DELEGATES start converging in Mbarara tomorrow for FUFA’s second general assembly outside Kampala.
The first time the Federation of Uganda Football Associations had its general assembly away from the capital city was in 1994 in Jinja.
But while the 1994 meeting was stormy with minister in charge of sports Amanya Mushega blasting the John Ssemanobe executive for insubordination and poor management, there are all signs of a calm meeting under Lawrence Mulindwa at Mbarara’s Pelican Hotel.
“True, the current executive has been in office for a short time, but we still have to follow the constitution and update delegates on how we are managing,†explained federation CEO Charles Masembe.
