ASUMAN Geesa is to lead Uganda’s cycling team to the World Championship in Salburg, Austria this weekend.

The flat racer, who finished fourth in the 1,217km Tour du Rwanda race in Kigali, is part of the team of four who depart for Austria tomorrow.

Also on the SN Brussels Airlines sponsored team are Dan Alikisente and David Matovu, who finished 12th and 13th in Rwanda. They will compete in the open and the 180km Under-23 category.

David Magezi is the other rider on the team led by Uganda cycling association secretary Sam Lubega.

“We have had good training and we hope to put up a good show,” vowed Lubega.
