FUFA’s referees appointment committee will today forward to FUFA names of referees they consider worth holding FIFA badges next season.

FUFA vice president in charge of referees Haruna Mpangire, yesterday explained that they were finalising a list to present to the FUFA executive today for further verification. It is FUFA that determines the final names to FIFA.
“We have been working on this matter since Sunday. we want to be thorough with the process,” said Mpangire.

Tension had gripped the match officials, especially those competing for the centre slots like Denis Batte and Brian Nsubuga since the cooper test last month.

Current centre referees: Mohammed Ssegonga, Ali Kalyango, Fred Mufta and Arthur Bukenya.

Assistant referees:
Samuel Kayondo, Hussein Bugembe, Ali Tomusange, Yahaya Kiti, Roberto Bukenya, Nelson Mubanda are being threatened by Kalifani Kanakulya, Musa Balikowa and Dennis Ojwee.
