Malinga test
Alex Malinga will lead the Ugandan team to the World Road Running championships in Debrecen, Hungary October 8. The team has Martin Toroitich, Wilson Busienei and James Kibet. After the event, Malinga is expected to compete in Italy’s Venice marathon October 22, where he will attack the national record of two hours 12 minutes and 12 seconds.

Isaac Afidri will be hoping to improve his game against Kyambogo University in the utl inter-university invitational games today. Afidri is the man to beat on the Kampala International University basketball team.

Twelve table tennis players depart Thursday for the Arya Table tennis championships in Nairobi this weekend. The team comprising Ronnie Andira, Kevin Mafabi, Jackson Migadde, Amina Kibone and Regina Nakibule will feature in the three-day event that starts Friday.
