Kassiano baited
KASSIANO Wadri will not spare the sh60m up for grabs. His party boss, Kizza Besigye may not agree with the scheme but Kassiano, opposition chief whip, thinks it is wrong to refuse the money since it is given as part of facilitation. He has sworn to sign for the money. “If government gives it to me I will take it. In fact I prefer the car key instead of the money,” he said. Hmm who said that free things should always be rejected?

Matembe returns
She might be out of parliament but not worn out. Miria Matembe demonstrated this when she resurfaced at parliament demanding to talk to journalists. The vocal former MP who never wanted journalists during her times because of “misquoting her”, was now looking for them frantically saying eight months of silence was enough. “I know you have been missing me and everyone asking where I am. I am happy to see you too though I have been provoked by the president’s statement that ministers are sleepy but don’t ask me where I have been,” she said.

Rugunda hailed
They might be in different party organisations but opposition chief whip, Kassiano Wadri, thinks the internal affairs minister, Ruhakana Rugunda, is the best among them all. He believes the LRA are not serious if they ever doubted the man’s capacity to handle the peace talks in Juba. “These people, it seems, don’t know what they want if they ever doubt Rugunda’s capacity to head the government’s peace team. He is a sober- minded man, he listens, and he is patient unlike the rest of the others who brag because they think they are next in the queue,” he said. Well, we hope the LRA will take Kassiano advice.

Death solution
There is a new trick that seems to be used by almost all hospital accounting officers to escape the scaring faces of MPs on the Public Accounts Committee. When the grilling gets tough, they either say the ‘person concerned’ has since died or transferred “Sir, the person who handled that money died,” they say. Hmm! What a good answer to silence our dear MPs!
