DORCUS Inzikuru will be gunning for another major title at the inaugural IAAF World Road Running championships in Debracen, Hungary.

The World and Commonwealth 3000mSC champion is among women entered for the event due October 8. A total of 180 runners from 45 countries had entered by the close of registration this week.

This will be Inzikuru’s first IAAF competition this year, after missing the World Cross Country, World Athletics final and World Cup events.

She is to renew her rivalry against last year’s World Half Marathon winner, Constantina Tomescu (Romania) and 2002 champion Berhane Adere (Ethiopia), who also doubles up as the World 10000m champion.

Also on the start list is three-time World X-country short distance winner Edith Masai of Kenya.

Uganda’s men’s team of Wilson Busienei, Martin Toroitich, James Kibet and Alex Malinga face ace Eritrea’s Zersenay Tadesse.
