MEDICAL workers in government hospitals have been warned against operating private clinics.

Health minister Dr. Stephen Mallinga on Friday said the practice leads to poor service delivery and portrays health workers as mere traders and not respected professionals.

He was addressing Hoima Regional Referral Hospital staff members. “Devote your time to hospital work so that you win the confidence of the public. This time, we should shame those who have been talking ill of us,” Mallinga said.
