IT pays to talk peace. Lacambel Wod Ogena, a presenter with Mega FM, will live to tell. He is the moderator of the famous ‘dwog paco’ (comeback home), a tri-weekly programme, where former LRA commanders and fighters are hosted over Mega FM to call upon their colleagues who are still in the bush to come back home.

He was one of the people who linked the Government with the LRA commanders for the on-going Juba peace talks.

Together with Gulu RDC, retired Col. Walter Ochora, he led a delegation of relatives of LRA commanders who are still in the bush to the Garamba forest mid this year.

For all his efforts, President Yoweri Museveni gave him a new Suzuki Escudo Goldwin worth about sh15m.

Naturally, the scribe is the envy of Gulu town. Unfortunately, the LRA commanders who used to call Lacambel through the satellite phone State House gave him, have been accusing him of spying on them lately.
