World Vision has donated 300 goats to households with orphans in Kitgum district.
The NGO’s officer, Sarah Obalim, handed over the donation to the beneficiaries last week.
She said the donation was aimed at alleviating poverty among orphans in Amida, Akwang and Layamo sub-counties.
The families also received beans and maize seeds.
Kitgum LC5 chairman John Komakech praised the NGO for the humanitarian support to the needy.
He advised the beneficiaries not to eat the goats but rear them for commercial purposes.
