If we are to deal with such disasters as Tsunami, thrown at us by Mother Nature, we need proper equipment in place to deal with them.
True, we may not be affected by Tsunami in Uganda. But there are other disasters waiting to happen. Earthquakes, locusts, disease epidemics — need I say more?
The question is, are we capable of handling them adequately?
I believe the authorities responsible should correct their short sightedness in dealing with such matters, even with the few limited resources the Government has. There should be a concrete plan of action
in place.
