ANOTHER top LRA field commander, Lt. Col. Francis Lapaicho Oyat, has freed his family members in Kitgum district.

Justin Moro and Chris Ochowun write that Oyat freed his family members at Paluda village in Palabek sub-county, Lamwo county west of Kitgum town on January 5 and were received by the UPDF soldiers of 503 brigade at Gangdyang in Kitgum town.

The army and other security sources in Kitgum district said Lt. Col. Lapaicho released his wife Jacqueline Ajok with two children, James Rwego, 13 and Grace Adong plus another unidentified woman.

“His family are with us in Gangdyang barracks,” a military source said.

The UPDF spokesman in Kitgum district, Lt. Allan Tukahebwa, said he was in Bushenyi and could not comment.
