Sikander Lalani, the managing director, said the company is enjoying the regional market because of quality goods and the performance of their marketing department.
“Our exports have been growing steadily since 1996 because of our quality products. We believe with the establishment of the East African Community, they will grow further,†Lalani said in an interview recently.
The company recently received a Gold Presidential Export Award for the year 2003, for being number the one exporter of metal products. In 2002, the company got a Silver award for the same reason.
Lalani said in 2002, 70% of their export products went to Rwanda, but had now spread out to Burundi, Tanzania and DR Congo.
He said they would expand their export market this year, after identifying products suitable for each country.
