<b>3rd term Bill<br>KAMPALA</b> — Attorney General Khiddu Makubuya is to appear before the legal and parliamentary affairs committee today to explain the government position on the constitutional (Amendment) Bill.

— Attorney General Khiddu Makubuya is to appear before the legal and parliamentary affairs committee today to explain the government position on the constitutional (Amendment) Bill. Committee chairman Jacob Oulanyah yesterday said Makubuya would officially introduce the Bill. The Speaker referred the Bill to the committee after it was presented to the House on Tuesday.

Two held
LUWEERO
— The Police have arrested two men on suspicion that they illegally withdrew sh900,000 from Nile Bank. CID officer Chris Otim said Ronald Ndareeba and Tony Namutaika stole a cheque leaf from Lt. Nobert Ocen of Bombo UPDF, forged his signature and withdrew the money.

UPC to sue
KAMPALA
— The Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) has threatened to sue the Registrar General if their party is not registered after the 30 gazetted days. UPC’s presidential policy commission chairman James Rwanyarare was reacting to queries on what the party would do if the registrar general did not met the deadline.

Officers train
GULU
— Fifty-four UPDF officers from the 4th division headquarters are being trained on children and women’s rights. District community service manager Jimmy Orut said the officers would learn to handle children from LRA captivity. The training was funded by UNICEF.
