COSMAS Mwikirize, the best science student in Mbarara, looked unmoved when The New Vision told him he was the best student in sciences.

“Is that so,” he simply asked as he went about his business.

His guardian Robert Mwebaze, the headmaster of Booma High School, said it was no miracle that Mwikirize had excelled.

“He worked for it. I’m not surprised either. He is just reaping from his hardwork,” Mwebaze said.

His mathematics teacher and Director of Studies at Mbarara High School, Wilson Amutuheire, described Mwikirize as a “hot fellow”.

“He is a no nonsense student,” Amutuheire said.

Mwikirize scored 4AAAA in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Math.
Statistics at Mbarara High School show he had never been topped since he joined seniour one.

He is now set to join Makerere University for electrical engineering. He is the last born in a family of eight.
