ALEX Malinga was yesterday assured of $6,500 (sh11.2m)after the Africa East team finished 10th out of 42 teams in Hong Kong in the Greatest race on Earth marathon on Sunday.

ALEX Malinga was yesterday assured of $6,500 (sh11.2m)after the Africa East team finished 10th out of 42 teams in Hong Kong in the Greatest race on Earth marathon on Sunday.
The Ugandan star finished 9th in the Mumbai race in January to earn himself an individual prize of $4,000.
The Standard Chartered bank sponsored series of races were held in Nairobi, Singapore, Mumbai and Hong Kong. The final leg was held in Hong Kong with Africa East team member, Tanzania’s Sambu Simpe finishing 18th.
Kenya’s Mark Komidany and David Kiprono were the other members on the East African team team that won $10,000.
