KOBIL Uganda has handed Issa Numba a sh1.6m sponsorship package ahead of the Sebuguzi fundraising sprint at Garuga double track circuit on Sunday.
Kobil, that have kept faith with the average driver, offered him fuel and tyres worth the amount to enable him compete in the sprint.
“From the beginning all the major sponsors were going for top drivers. For us we went for Numba and want to grow with him,†Kobil commercial communication manager Joseph Kisembo said yesterday.
The Sebuguzi fundraising sprint to enable him pay off a rally car has so far attracted 24 entrants.
