Equity turnover increases to sh17m

A sh17m turnover was recorded at Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) following activity on five of the seven counters compared to sh2m last Thursday.<br>

A sh17m turnover was recorded at Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) following activity on five of the seven counters compared to sh2m last Thursday.

Bank of Baroda had sh1.7m after trading 2,200 shares at sh800 each. Dfcu had sh0.7m after trading 2,600 shares at sh305 each, a sh5 gain in the share price from sh300 last Thursday.

Uganda Clays had sh1.07m after trading 134 shares at sh8,000 each yesterday.
Tuesday’s session saw dfcu bag sh14m after trading 46,683 shares at sh300 each, while New Vision had sh100,000 after trading 400 shares.

The all share index gained by 0.89 points to close at 439.58 yesterday from 438.76 last Thursday following a sh3 gain in the share price of East African Breweries.
