S.Africa firm wins TV fees tender

A South African firm, M/S Traces, has won the tender to collect the annual Television Viewers License fees.

A South African firm, M/S Traces, has won the tender to collect the annual Television Viewers License fees, a letter signed by Ms Tecla Kinalwa from the Office of the President says, writes Mikaili Sseppuya.

According to the award notification letter, the contracts committee of the President’s Office awarded Traces the contract on April 14 and requested the firm to present an acceptance letter by today and enter negotiations regarding the contract price.

Traces’ John Mountain yesterday wrote back to accept the award.

“We are in receipt of your Notification of Award correspondence dated April 21, 2005, awarding us the contract to collect TV Viewers License Fees. We hereby accept the award,” Mountain wrote.
The annual licence fee for each TV set will be sh20,000.
