Uganda is sending a ministerial delegation to the burial of the late South African envoy, bavumile Vilikazi.

The delegation, to be led by regional cooperation minister Augustine Nshimye Sebutulo, leaves today for the burial scheduled to take place on Sunday at Von Der Bjil Park, Gauteng province, South Africa.

Vilikazi, 50, died on Thursday of a heart attack on his way from Entebbe airport where he had received SA vice-president Dr Jacob Zuma. Zuma was here to attend a regional emergency summit on the Burundi peace initiative, chaired by President Yoweri Museveni.

A memorial service was yesterday held for him at All Saints Cathedral in Kampala. It was led by the Rev. Canon Monica Sebidega, assisted by the Rev. Michael Okwi.
