KAMPALA — President Yoweri Museveni will on Wednesday inaugurate a leadership conference at Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga. Dr. Robb Thompson, a relation and leadership strategist from the US, will be the main speaker at the five-day conference. Registration is going on at the cathedral for the conference expected to host over 10,000 pastors, leaders and community workers.

JINJA — About 20 Forum for Democratic Change youth supporters have defected to the Movement. The converts were on Tuesday received by deputy RDC Andrew Kameraho at their village in Kinubi, Masese Three in Walukuba/Masese division. They said they had been promised jobs and other goodies.

KATAKWI — The Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) has started registering supporters in Teso and targets 300,000 people, party members have said. The one-month exercise started on May 9 in all parishes in Soroti, Katakwi, Kumi and Kaberamaido districts.
