<b>Pastors aided</b><br>LIRA — Thirty-six pastors from northern Uganda and Southern Sudan on Thursday received bicycles and bibles worth sh4.4m from the New Covenant Christian Centre of Florida in USA.

LIRA — Thirty-six pastors from northern Uganda and Southern Sudan on Thursday received bicycles and bibles worth sh4.4m from the New Covenant Christian Centre of Florida in USA. Speaking during the handover on May 19, Coordinator Pastor Francis Nyang said this was part of their commitment to spread the gospel in the region.

Man killed
GULU — The Lord’s Resistance Army rebels on Thursday killed a man at Luwir village near Opit internally displaced people’s camp in Lakwana sub-county, Omoro county, sources said. Bosco Odoch was reported to have been abducted by the rebels and later killed as he tried to escape.

Arua gets
ARUA — A sh140m orthopedic workshop and a physiotherapy unit funded by Doctors with Africa and the Italian Cooperation have been handed over to the district authorities. The fully equipped workshop was handed over on Thursday at a function presided over by LC5 vice-chairman Leone Candia.

GULU — Women must be appreciated for their resilience despite the difficult conditions they face in the internally displaced people’s (IDP) camps due to the LRA war for the last 19 years. A UNICEF official, Maria Chrissie, made the remark recently while visiting Alero IDP camp in Alero sub-county, Nwoya county.
