Gambia’s under-17 team were crowned African champions on Sunday, after beating Ghana 1-0 in the final of the continental event in Bakau. The two, along with third-placed Ivory Coast, qualify for the world under-17 championship in Peru. The final was held up for several minutes when Ghana players accused a Gambian fan of planting a fetish near their goal.
