RWANDA army side <br>APR are close to signing SC Villa’s lethal striker Bernard Mwalala for $10000 (sh17.5m), a source has revealed.

APR are close to signing SC Villa’s lethal striker Bernard Mwalala for $10000 (sh17.5m), a source has revealed.
APR has reportedly promised to pay the Kenyan international a salary of $500 (sh0.8m). Rayon Sport are also said to be in the running for the striker’s signature, and are willing to part with $7000 (sh12m).
Mwalala is yet to renew his contract with the Jogoos. He was the top scorer with six goals at the CECAFA club championships.
The 22-year-old Kenyan is in Nairobi with the national team preparing for a World Cup qualifier.
“The fans in Kampala are nice to players and they really appreciate me as a star but I may have to leave because I play football to earn a living,†Mwalala said on phone.
Villa have lost several of their senior players to APR, including Phillip Ssozi, who is yet to be paid for by the Rwandans.
