SIX suspects charged with the murder of an American couple and a student were yesterday committed to the High Court.

Arua chief magistrate Gabriel Nyipir remanded the suspects to Arua government prison. They had spent over a year in prison.

He named the suspects as Robert Candiga alias Koroga, Taire malyamungu, Asiraf Ondoga, Aluma Amin, Asiraf Agotre and Mohammed Adriko.

Nyipir did not allow them to enter plea, saying the court did not have the jurisdiction.

The prosecutor, Coll-ins Achillam, said they committed the offence on March 18, 2004.

He said the group and others still at large stormed Ester Evangelical School of Technology and shot dead Warren Pet and his wife Donna Pet and a student, Isaac Juruga.

They were also accused of burning two vehicles and a grass-thatched house.
