KAMPALA — Track uganda on Sunday night recovered a Toyota hilux double-cabin that was stolen at gunpoint from Dr. Otim Ogong in bukoto. The vehicle belongs to Lira district National agricultural advisory services. Otim, who was in Kampala for a workshop, was hijacked by two armed thugs. The car was found abandoned at the Ministers Village in Ntinda at 4:30am and returned to Otim on Monday.

Union elects
GULU — Members of the West Acholi Co-operative Union on Wednesday elected new board members. During a meeting at the union offices in Layibi division, the delegates re-elected Sabino Ocan as their chairman, Dickens Okella-kwo as vice-chairman, Ojera Otada, the treasurer, Johnson Okech as secretary and nine other members.

MUKONO — A land row has broken out between Mukono Diocese and born-again christians. Pastor Zakaria Serwadda of Evangelist Church in Njeru town council claims ownership of the land, while Bishop Eria Paul Luzinda Kizito says the land belongs to the diocese.
