Sudan investment conference in offing

Over 300 delegates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, northern and southern Sudan, Kuwait and Georgia will attend the South Sudan Investment Conference from June 22 to 23.

Over 300 delegates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, northern and southern Sudan, Kuwait and Georgia will attend the South Sudan Investment Conference from June 22 to 23.
Investment opportunities, policy perspectives, infrastructure and development in the region are some issues on the agenda for the conference.
The meeting will take place at Speke resort Munyonyo in Kampala.
Daudi Migereko, the trade and industry minister, will chair the conference. The conference will be addressed by Dr. Riek Machar, the vice-chairman of the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Movement/Army and Agard Didi, Uganda’s state minister for Entandikwa.
Susan Nuwatamba, a media and events manager at Executive Events, said the conference will provide an opportunity to showcase what Uganda can export to Sudan.
Over 30 exhibitors are interested in exhibiting on the sidelines of the conference, while 100 people are expected from Sudan.
