OUR Lady of Good Counsel’s Monica Nakityo will be eyeing the girls U-18 senior badminton title when the tenth edition of the Picfare Schools Open takes shape on Friday at Lugogo.
The star, who has always finished second in the event behind former schoolmate Lindah Damba, will hope Damba’s absence gives her a chance to grab top accolades.
“She is good and since Damba has upgraded after joining university.
She is the star to watch in the girls’ category,†said national technical coordinator Simon Mugabi.
Picfare Industries managing director Mitun Jobanputra yesterday launched the event by handing over an assortment of materials worth sh5m.
