FUFA’s normalisation committee will next week hold stakeholders workshops for the final debate on the federation’s statutes prior to their submission to Zurich.

“A lot of surgery still has to be done” said committee secretary Patrick Isiagi refuting reports that final positions have already been taken on issues like qualification of delegates.

The committee completes its work on the draft today in a process that will be followed with distribution of the draft to the stakeholders.

A program on how the workshops will be scheduled in the country’s five regions was due to be released last evening.

“We have to get the public’s input on contentious issues like qualification,” said Isiagi, clarifying that the committee’s draft is not the final document.

Lawyers Kavuma Kabenge and John Matovu head the committee’s constitution sub committee.

The draft was supposed to have been completed and sent to Zurich by June 15. But squabbles in the local soccer fraternity delayed the normalisation process.
