WITH the shortened 2005 MTN basketball League preliminary round virtually done, Warriors sit comfortably on the top of the Yello Go Conference table with 10 points.

Their recent win over six-time champions Falcons assured them a place in the second round next month, and, it is lost pride they are now playing for.

Warriors are still smarting from last season’s loss to arch-rivals Nkumba-Marines, and may vent out their frustrations against them when the two teams clash in an interesting league encounter at YMCA today.

Marines, who stopped Warriors from making last year’s playoffs, step on the court proud of their achievement last year and hoping for a repeat.

Warriors have improved tremendously and a win will see them maintain their unbeaten streak.
They are also building up steam, and raising hope for a Warrior championship title bid.

Other breathtaking matches at the same venue will be between Najja High and fancied No-Nem as Earthquakes travel to Jinja to face Sky Jammers.

A-1 Challenge takes on debutantes KIU Rangers while Lady Bucks plays MUK-Cubs in the women’s league matches.
