EXPRESS FC stayed on top of group C in the City Tyres Super League after a tense goalless draw at home to Simba yesterday.
Both sides missed a number of chances, though Simba had an edge in the proceedings.

Simba’s Sam Sennoga twice came closest to breaking the deadlock after his first half-header from a James Katajwa cross hit the woodwork.

Later in the second half, he beat the offside trap, raced towards Express’ goal but hesitated to shoot, giving Kakwaya time to come forward with a goal saving tackle.

A Tony Odur would-be goal for Express was disallowed for offside. He had tapped in after Simba keeper Benjamin Ekusai failed to hold onto a Peter Rwebuga through shot midway the second half.

Express coach Godfrey Nyola was contented with the result: “It was a tactical game. It’s a fair result because all the same, it keeps us top of the group.”
