Sudhir said while touring the area to be developed that the 200-bedroom hotel would be on 20 acres of land and would be named Speke Bujagali Falls Hotel.
He said recently that work on the hotel, which will start by January 2006, would be in three phases.
The Jinja LC5 chairman, Fred Gume, confirmed endorsement of the project.
Meanwhile, Abubaker Mukose reports that intrigue among the Basoga has retarded the areaâ€™s development, the Kyabazinga, Henry Wako Muloki, has said.
â€œThe Basoga have embraced intrigue and envy as working tools. Whenever there is a development plan, they are the first to condemn it,â€ he said.
