KOTIDO and Turkana (Kenya) district leaders have urged the warring ethnic Dodoth karimojong and turkana to promote peace and development.

Kotido district chairman Calistus Adome Lokwii and the Turkana district commissioner, Jenga Miiri, on wednesday told the two communities on the Uganda/Kenya border that roads, water points, health centres and schools should act as instruments for peace and unity.

The two leaders were commissioning a 15km OXFAM-funded road at Loopem Cliff above the eastern rift valley.
