MUKONO — LC1 officials in Goma sub-county have resolved to lynch suspected thieves in a meeting chaired by their chairman Angelo Mukasa on Saturday at Bajjo. Mukasa said thefts and burglaries had increased. But Seeta Police Station chief James Amony warned the residents against mob justice, saying it was against the law.

Meet flops
KIBOGA — The district councillors have demanded for allowances and lunch if they are to attend council meetings. A council meeting flopped on Thursday after the councillors refused to attend it. The meeting was to pass the budget and approve the service commission members.

Army kills 4
PADER — The Army has killed four rebels of the Lord’s Resistance Army in Opate along River Agago in Pader district last Wednesday. Sources said other rebels fled.
