THE Police have arrested a man on suspicion of false pretence. Calvin Lukwiya Mwaka was reportedly found with forged stamps of the town clerk and municipal health inspector. He reportedly lied to people that he had won the municipal tender to award full-occupation permits.

No funds
THE Community Service Programme where petty offenders are sentenced to offer free labour instead of jail terms is in a financial crisis.
The national programme chairperson, Justice Anne Magezi, said they faced a sh1.2b budget deficit after expanding the programme to cover the whole country.
