POLICE FC duo of keeper Hannington Kalyesuubula and striker Martin Muwanga are set for trials with an undisclosed team in South Africa.

A source close to the local club said arrangements are underway to see the two travel to South Africa.

“But this will be after the final of the City Tyres Super League on September 14” the source added.

Police sports officer Abubaker Kalule did not deny but referred the inquiry to the club chairman Chris Opio who was not available for comment.

Kalyesuubula, a Cranes squads man has played a vital role for his team’s run in the local league, conceding only eight times in the 12 matches they have played in the league. They only conceded twice in the preliminaries and twice in the quarterfinal and semifinals.

On the other hand, Muwanga has been in prolific scoring form which has made him top marksman in the league so far with nine goals. He has earned a call to the Cranes.

If the two are successful, they will join Timothy Batabaire and Posnet Omwony playing with Bloemfontein Celtics and David Obua in Kaizer Chiefs all in South Africa.
