THE body of a Ugandan woman who died in Dubai Hospital was not returned home because her medical report said she had an infectious disease.
Thousands of Ugandans living in Dubai turned up to pay their last respects to Juliet Mbabazi, who passed away on July 23.
Mbabazi died two days after she had returned from home on a visa-change visit. She had a heart attack on July 21.
Hajji Ali Twaib Kibirige, the chairman of the Ugandan Dubai association, said the Ugandan community had the capacity to take its people back home but Juliet was an exceptional case.
Sheikh Ahmed Kabazi, the general secretary of the association, hailed the Ugandans for their cooperation.
