PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has honoured his pledged by donating 21 heifers to a Rwandan cultural group, the Soptic–Isonga.
State minister for regional co-operation Augustine Nshimye and the presidential assistant for veterinary affairs, Sam Byagagaire, handed over heifers to the Rwandan secretary general of co-operation affairs, Rosemary Museminari, at a ceremony at Gatuna on the Uganda-rwanda border on Tuesday.
Nshimye said the donation was a cultural gesture of love, adding that it would strengthen co-operation and friendship among the two countries.
Museminari thanked Museveni and the Ugandan government for the donation.
He said the Rwandan government may soon reciprocate.
